A woman was shot in the hand in the Bayview neighborhood Thursday afternoon, San Francisco police said today.
Police received a report of the shooting in the first block of Rosie Lee Lane at about 1:10 p.m., police said.
Police said a 25-year-old black man and a 20-year-old black woman were playing with a handgun when the woman shot herself in the hand.
The man took the woman to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of her injuries, which police said were not life-threatening.
No arrest was made in the case.
