Three Arrested After Fight with Glass Bottles, Baseball Bat

Three male transients were arrested Sunday evening after an altercation turned violent at a restaurant in San Francisco’s Mission District, according to police.

The incident was reported at 5:11 p.m. Sunday at a restaurant in the 3300 block of 24th Street when a group of men started throwing glass bottles after being asked to leave.

A fight ensued and three suspects attacked two victims with a baseball bat, police said.

Suspect Carlos Pinula, 30, was struck twice during the course of the fight and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with a life-threatening head injury. Mark Ziolowski, 21, and Vincent Murillo, 24, were also arrested, according to police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza.

All three men are listed as transients residing in the Mission District. All three men were arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

One of the victims suffered bruising and scratching as a result of the altercation, but did not require medical care.
