Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Corona Heights

A vehicle struck a female pedestrian in San Francisco’s Corona Heights neighborhood this afternoon, according to a fire department spokeswoman.

The vehicle struck the pedestrian near the intersection of 17th and Diamond streets, San Francisco fire spokeswoman Jen Balestrieri said.

Balestrieri said the collision was reported at 12:37 p.m. and that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, Balestrieri said.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
