Man Shot in Abdomen Near USF

A 43-year-old man was shot near University of San Francisco on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The shooting was reported around 1:15 p.m. Saturday in the area of Arguello Boulevard and Balboa Street, just west of the USF campus.

Officers arrived to find the victim had been shot in the abdomen. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

No arrests had been made in the case and a detailed description of the suspect was not available as of this morning, according to police.
