Suspect Remains at Large Following Chinatown Bank Robbery

Police are seeking information on the whereabouts of a man who robbed a bank in San Francisco’s Chinatown neighborhood on Sunday morning, police said.

Shortly after 9:15 a.m. Sunday, the suspect entered a bank in the 1300 block of Stockton Street, near Columbus Avenue and Broadway Street.

The suspect, described as a man in his 30s, handed a note to the teller demanding money. The bank teller complied and gave him cash and the suspect then placed the money in a bag and fled before officers arrived, police said.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact police and may do so anonymously by calling (415) 392-2623 or may text an anonymous tip to 847411 with “SFPD” in the text field followed by the message.
