Two Injured in Potrero Terrace Public Housing Complex Shooting

Two men were struck by gunfire at the Potrero Terrace public housing complex in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood late Saturday night, police said today.

Based on a preliminary police investigation, it appears the two men, both in their mid 20s, were standing on a sidewalk in the 900 block of Connecticut Street around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

While standing on the sidewalk, located less than a block from Starr King Elementary School on Wisconsin Street, the men heard numerous shots fired in their direction, according to police.

Both men took off running but were struck by gunfire. One man was struck in the leg while the other was struck in the foot, police said.

The victims were transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

Police have made no arrests and have not released any information about possible suspects or a motive for the shooting.
