SFPD Officer Injured in Collision with Fleeing Auto Burglary Suspect

A San Francisco police officer was injured this evening after a vehicle fleeing from an alleged auto burglary struck an undercover police vehicle.

Two suspects were taken into custody after the 7:21 p.m. collision at Lombard Street and Embarcadero but the suspect vehicle remains outstanding, according to police.

The officer was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, police said.
