Mini Cooper Crashes Into Nob Hill Restaurant, Injuring One Person

One person was injured when a car crashed through the wall of a restaurant in San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon, according to a fire spokeswoman.

A white Mini Cooper reportedly crashed into Olea, a restaurant located at 1494 California St. at the corner of Larkin Street, at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, San Francisco fire spokeswoman Jen Balestrieri said.

One person was transported to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, Balestrieri said.

No other injuries were reported and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Olea, a restaurant serving Northern California fare, posted a message to its patrons on its website explaining that the crash has caused the restaurant to close its doors for the next couple of weeks while repairs are underway.

The restaurant posted a photo of the crash on its website at www.oleasf.com.
