SFPD Make Arrest in One of Two Bank Robberies Saturday

San Francisco police made an arrest following one of two robberies that occurred in the city on Saturday.

A robbery was reported at 1:13 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Market Street. A man in his 30s robbed the bank and fled, but was taken into custody afterward, according to police.

The man’s name was not immediately available from police.

Earlier in the day at 11:24 a.m., police received a call about a robbery in the 400 block of Sutter Street.

A man about 6 feet tall demanded money from a teller, who complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect fled and was not found. Anyone with information about either case is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
