SFPD Investigating Armed Robbery at Ghirardelli Square Business

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a business in San Francisco’s Ghirardelli Square on Sunday evening.

The robbery was reported around 5:50 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of North Point Street.

The suspect, a man believed to be around 50 years old, approached an employee at the counter and said he was robbing the business, police said.

He demanded all of the cash from the register and took out a handgun. The employee, a 17-year-old girl, complied and the man then fled on foot with a female suspect, according to police.

The pair remained at large as of this morning. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
