Man Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Mission Stabbing

A man suffered serious injuries when he was stabbed in the chest in San Francisco’s Mission District on Tuesday night, police said.

The victim, identified as a man in his 30s, was stabbed at about 11:10 p.m. near the intersection of 24th Street and Osage Alley, about a block from Mission Street, according to police.

Officers said the suspect, also described as a man in his 30s, stabbed the victim with a knife and then fled the scene on foot before police arrived.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police have not arrested any suspects in connection with the stabbing and have not yet released a suspect description.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation, police said.
