Man Critically Injured in Tenderloin Attack Christmas Day

A man was critically injured in an attack in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Christmas Day, police said today.

Officers responded around 7:40 p.m. Thursday to the 500 block of Jones Street on a report of a man screaming. They arrived to find the victim being treated by a paramedic for a life-threatening head wound, according to police.

The 54-year-old victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

No suspect information was immediately available today in connection with the attack.
