Man Shot in Back in Tenderloin

A 54-year-old man was shot in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Tuesday night, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at Eddy and Larkin streets shortly after 8 p.m.

Arriving officers found the man suffering a gunshot wound to the back, police said.

He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The victim had been standing on the street next to a cart filled with his personal belongings when the suspect approached and shot him, police said.

The suspect fled the scene and remains at large as of this morning, according to police.
