Man In Critical Condition After Hayes Valley Stabbing

A man is in critical condition after he was stabbed in the chest and suffered a laceration to his throat in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood early this morning, a police spokeswoman said.

Officers received a report of the attack in the 200 block of Haight Street near Laguna Street shortly after 4 a.m., San Francisco police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan said.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains there in critical condition, Gatpandan said.

Police have not yet released a description of the stabbing suspect and the motive for the attack remains under investigation.
