Man Fatally Shot in Western Division Last Friday Night Identified

A San Francisco man who was fatally shot in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood on Friday night has been identified as 22-year-old Paris Anderson, according to the medical examiner’s office.

At about 8:45 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the area of Willow and Buchanan streets following reports of a shooting, according to San Francisco police Officer Gordon Shyy.

A 21-year-old man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

A short time later a second shooting victim, later identified as Anderson, walked into San Francisco General Hospital.

Anderson died of his injuries at the hospital.

Police believe both victims were shot at Willow and Buchanan streets.

No suspect information has been released and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
