Weekend Traffic And Transit Disruptions: Noe Valley Fest, Nike Women’s Marathon, Mission Sunday Streets

Dreamforce Convention
On Thursday: The Dreamforce convention at the Moscone Center will conclude, however, street closures will continue as listed below:

Until 3 p.m., this Saturday:
Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets
Fulton Street between Larkin and Hyde streets

Beginning at 6 a.m., last Saturday until 6 a.m., this Saturday:
Grove Street between Larkin and Polk streets

Howard Street traffic will be detoured either via 2nd Street to Harrison Street or via New Montgomery Street to Hawthorne Street, then to either Folsom or Harrison streets.

Treasure Island Music Festival
On Saturday and Sunday: The Treasure Island Music Festival will take place on the Great Lawn on Avenue of the Palms between 9th and 4th streets.

Free shuttle service provided by event organizer to all ticket holders will be available beginning at 11 a.m. at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Please check out http://treasureislandfestival.com/2014/transportation/ for additional details.

SFMTA will supplement service on the 108 Treasure Island Muni route.

Heavy traffic is expected on the Bay Bridge and on Treasure Island. Delays are expected on Muni bus route 108 Treasure Island due to increased traffic.

Noe Valley Harvest Festival
On Saturday the 10th annual Noe Valley Harvest Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on 24th Street between Church and Sanchez streets.

The following street closures will be required from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.:
24th Street between Church and Sanchez streets
Intersection: Vicksburg Street at 24th Street

The 48 Quintara-24th Street Muni route will be affected.

Inner Sunset Sundays
On Sunday: The Inner Sunset Sundays will take place on Irving Street from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Irving Street between 9th and 10th avenues will be closed from 1 a.m. to midnight.

Nike Women’s Marathon
On Sunday the 11th annual Nike Women’s Marathon will be held throughout San Francisco, beginning at 5:30 a.m. at Union Square, with the race beginning at 6:30 a.m. and ends at Marina Green. An attendance of 20,000 runners is expected.

The following street closures will be required:

Beginning at 6 a.m., Friday until 5 p.m., Monday
Marina Boulevard (most northerly westbound lane only) between Scott and Fillmore streets

From 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday
Stockton Street between Post and Geary streets
Geary Street between Powell and Stockton streets

From 11 p.m., Saturday through 11 a.m., Sunday
Fulton Street (South side parking lane only) between 20th and 25th avenues

The half marathon route starts at Union Square, near the intersection of Stockton and Post streets. Runners will follow the race route below:

Runners will go west from Post Street to Hyde Street, right on Ellis Street, right on Turk Street, left on Gough Street, right on Golden Gate Avenue, left on Webster Street, right on Fulton Street, left on Scott Street, right on Fell Street.
Runners will continue west along Fell Street to Kezar Drive, then right on John F. Kennedy Drive, turn right onto Traverse Drive, right onto Martin Luther King Drive, then right on Bernice Rodgers Way and then back onto John F. Kennedy Drive. From John F. Kennedy Drive, runners then turn right onto 30th Aveune, right on Fulton Street and left on 26th Avenue.
Runners will continue north on 26th Avenue, turn left onto Lake Street, right on 28th Avenue, continue north and right onto El Camino Del Mar, then proceed along Lincoln Boulevard, left onto Long Avenue, then right on Marine Drive and onto Old Mason Street, then Marina Boulevard and into Marina Green Drive.

At all times, there will be local access for residents throughout the course.

There will be extensive Muni reroutes throughout San Francisco during the race. There may be some delays during the race and traffic.

Sunday Streets: The Mission District
On Sunday: The last Sunday Streets event will be held in the Mission District. Sunday’s event route includes street closures on portions of Valencia Street and various adjacent streets. The route will be available for recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to the public.

The following street closures will be required from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:
Valencia Street between McCoppin and 26th streets

Cross traffic at Valencia Street will be allowed on:
16th Street
18th Street
14th Street
24th Street
Duboce Avenue

The 12 Folsom-Pacific Muni route will be affected
