Pedestrian Struck, Seriously Injured Near Golden Gate Park

A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a car near San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park this morning, a police spokesman said.

The collision was reported around 8:20 a.m. near Fulton Street and Willard North, San Francisco police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.

A blue SUV struck the pedestrian, who was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with a serious head injury, Shyy said.

The SUV driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, according to Shyy.

More information about the collision was not immediately available, he said.
