Evacuated School Given the All-Clear

An elementary school in San Francisco’s Ingleside Heights neighborhood has reopened after being evacuated because of a reported threat there this morning, a police spokesman said.

The threat was reported around 8 a.m. at Jose Ortega Elementary School at 400 Sargent St.

Officers responded and did an interior and exterior search of the campus before giving the all-clear at 10:26 a.m., San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

Students were then allowed to return to class at 11:05 a.m., Esparza said.
