Suspect in Potrero Hill Homicide Already Detained for Unrelated Crime

A 26-year-old man already in jail has been arrested in connection with a homicide in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood last month, police announced today.

Deandre Watson was arrested on suspicion of murdering 28-year-old Paris Raynaldo in the 900 block of Connecticut Street around 10:40 a.m. on Aug. 7, police said.

Raynaldo was inside his apartment where he was shot and a friend found him bleeding on the floor, according to police.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Watson was already in jail for an unrelated crime when investigators developed leads linking him to the homicide, police said.
