San Francisco police are searching this evening for a wheelchair-using elderly woman with early dementia who has been missing since Thursday morning.
Cloteal Swoopes, 81, left her care facility at 1477 Grove St. in a Luxor Cab and was last seen Thursday taking a Yellow Cab to 2910 26th St. around 10:40 a.m., according to police.
Swoopes was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, brown cordury pants with a black backpack hanging on the back of her black wheelchair.
She is described as a black female, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds, with brown eyes, gray and brown hair and a medium complexion.
She is known to frequent the Social Security offices in the Mission District and southern districts of San Francisco, according to police.
