Bicyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run on the Embarcadero

Police are seeking a suspect who fled after his car struck a bicyclist on The Embarcadero in San Francisco on Sunday night, police said today.

The collision was reported at 10:09 p.m. at The Embarcadero and Harrison Street.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, was crossing The Embarcadero in a crosswalk when he was struck by a car turning onto Harrison Street, police said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with bruising to his head and body, injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The vehicle, described only as a dark sedan, did not stop at the scene and remained at large along with its driver as of this morning, police said.
