Suspect Arrested in Silver Terrace Shooting

An 18-year-old man has been arrested for a shooting in San Francisco’s Silver Terrace neighborhood late Saturday that sent another man to the hospital, a police spokesman said today.

Sean Blake Ford, a San Francisco resident, was arrested a day after the shooting, which was reported at 10:21 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Williams Avenue, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

Officers responded and learned that the shooting had occurred in a store parking lot and that the 24-year-old victim was taken in a car to San Francisco General Hospital, police said.

Police initially said the victim’s injuries to his torso and legs were life-threatening but later said he is expected to survive.

The suspect fled the parking lot but was found on Sunday and identified as Ford, who was booked into jail on suspicion of attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon and other offenses, Esparza said.
