Suspect Arrested In Bernal Heights Marijuana Grow Operation Fire

A suspect was arrested in the wake of a one-alarm fire at an illegal marijuana grow in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood this morning, according to San Francisco police.

A report of a fire in the 300 block of Mayflower Street came in around 3:50 a.m. The blaze was under control by about 4:45 a.m., according to a fire dispatcher.

Crews uncovered an illegal marijuana grow operation and one suspect has been apprehended, according to police.

The suspect has yet been identified, police said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
