Man Killed in Tenderloin Hotel Stabbing Identified

A 40-year-old Sausalito man stabbed to death during an argument with a woman in a hotel room in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood Friday morning has been identified, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Matt Sheahan was stabbed around 6:15 a.m. Friday at a hotel in the 1000 block of Geary Street, according to San Francisco police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy.

Sheahan was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries around 8 a.m., according to police.

Police arrested 30-year-old Lisa Heng, of San Francisco, for allegedly stabbing Sheahan in his upper body after an argument in the hotel room.

Heng is being held in custody on no bail on suspicion of murder, according to the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department.

Police said they were not releasing any other information about Heng and Sheahan’s relationship or what led up to the stabbing.
