A man killed in a shooting Tuesday night in San Francisco’s Bayview District has been identified as Lasalle Thompson, 44, of San Francisco, the medical examiner’s office said this afternoon.
Thompson was found with a gunshot wound to his head by officers at La Salle Avenue and Las Villas Court near Hilltop Park around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
The homicide was not linked to four other killings that have occurred since the Fourth of July holiday and was also not gang-related, police said today.
No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide and police have not yet released any suspect information.
