Downtown SF Hits Record High Temperatures

Temperatures in downtown San Francisco set a record high today, reaching 85 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The previous high for today was 82 degrees set in 1973.

Today was forecasted to be the hottest day this week as temperatures rose throughout the Bay Area.

Some inland areas could temperatures reach triple digits today, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures in the area are expected to begin cooling this weekend.
