Victim Of Tenderloin Shooting Identified

A man found shot to death in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood late Tuesday night has been identified, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Coquiese Walker, 40, of San Francisco, was pronounced dead after emergency crews arrived around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday to the 300 block of Turk Street, police said.

Walker was found suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

According to Walker’s Facebook page, he graduated from San Francisco’s former McAteer High School in 1991.

Friends and family have been posting condolence messages on his social media pages since his death, including one friend who wrote, “You will be missed.”

Police do not have any suspect information in the shooting.
