2:16 PM: A two-alarm fire damaged a dry cleaning business in San Francisco’s Bayview District early this morning, a fire department spokeswoman said.
The fire was reported at 3:20 a.m. at 4130 Third St., where a dry cleaning business is housed on the ground floor, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.
An upstairs residential unit was vacant, Talmadge said. McAfee’s One-Hour Martinizing Cleaners and Laundry on the first floor was closed at the time, she said.
No injuries were reported in the fire, which was called under control at 4:42 a.m.
Talmadge said a building under construction next door sustained minimal damage in the blaze and a deli on the other side of the building was spared.
The phone line at the dry cleaning business has been disconnected since this morning.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Talmadge said.
