A burning garbage truck caused the closure of two U.S. Highway 101 ramps near Candlestick Park this afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Smoke was reported near Highway 101 and Candlestick Park at 12:51 p.m., CHP officials said.

San Francisco firefighters found a burning garbage truck there and the CHP shut down both the on- and off-ramps for Candlestick Park while firefighters put out the fire.

The fire was reported out at 1:41 p.m., according to the CHP. The ramps reopened by 2:30 p.m.
