Driver Cited After Striking Pedestrian On Sunset Boulevard

A 20-year-old woman was struck while crossing a busy boulevard in San Francisco’s Sunset District this afternoon, according to police.

The crash was reported at 2:38 p.m. at Sunset Boulevard and Yorba Street, according to police.

The woman was walking west on Yorba Street when a car heading north on Sunset hit her, police said.

The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

The driver, a 25-year-old woman, remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation. She was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, according to police.
