Allegedly Intoxicated Driver Arrested After Pinning Pedestrian Under Car

A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after pinning a man under his car at a gas station in San Francisco’s Richmond District early this morning, according to police.

The incident was reported around 3:30 a.m. at 24th Avenue and Geary Boulevard, police said.

An employee at the Chevron gas station located at 6000 Geary Blvd. said the incident occurred on the station’s property.

A 50-year-old man was hit by a car and was stuck under it when police arrived, according to police.

He was removed from underneath the car and taken to San Francisco General Hospital in critical condition with head trauma, police said.

The driver of a green four-door Acura, believed to be in his 30s, was at the scene and taken into custody. The man, whose name was not immediately available, was suspected of being under the influence, police said.
