Police are investigating a shooting that injured one person in San Francisco’s Bayview Heights neighborhood this afternoon, a police spokesman said.
Shortly after 3 p.m. today police were dispatched to the intersection of Jamestown Avenue and Jennings Street on a report of shots fired, San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparza said.
When officers arrived at the scene they found one victim suffering from injuries not considered life-threatening, Esparza said.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for medical treatment.
Police said that based on their preliminary investigation, the suspect fled the scene toward Bayshore Boulevard following the shooting.
A possible suspect was described only as a black male in a black Honda, according to Esparza.
