No, There Is Not A Warrant Out For Your Arrest For Skipping Jury Duty

The San Francisco Superior Court is warning residents about a jury summons scam.

Court officials learned about someone posing as a police officer and calling residents about a warrant out for their arrest because they failed to appear for a jury summons.

The caller claims to be with the Police Department and gives a badge number.

SF Superior Court staff members never call the public to request information or money, according to court officials.

Anyone who believes they are a victim of the scam is asked to call the Police Department’s financial crimes unit at (415) 553-1521.
