Police in San Francisco continue to investigate a shooting Thursday night in the city’s Ingleside neighborhood.

Officers were on patrol in the area of Brighton and Holloway avenues when they heard gunshots at about 8:35 p.m., Sgt. Danielle Newman said.

The officers arrived at the scene and spotted a group of males running away, and located a victim with a gunshot wound to an ankle as well as a car with several bullet holes in it, Newman said.

Newman said the victim is expected to survive.

Police set a perimeter to search for the suspects but were unable to find them. No one has been arrested, she said.
