A one-alarm house fire has been extinguished after burning for about 20 minutes near San Francisco’s Castro district this afternoon, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The blaze was reported at 3:01 p.m. at a three-story residential building at 4050 17th St. near Market Street, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

The fire was confined to the roof of the building and was extinguished by 3:24 p.m., Talmadge said.

No injuries were reported in the fire and its cause is under investigation, Talmadge said.
