Man Discovered With Gunshot Wound To Head Has Died

9:40 PM: A male victim who was shot in the head in San Francisco’s Bayview District this evening has died, according to police.

At about 5 p.m. officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Egbert Avenue and Ingalls Street and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, San Francisco police Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Suspect information was not immediately available.
