Victim Of Fatal SOMA Motorcycle Crash And Fall Has Been Identified

A motorcyclist who died after falling from an on-ramp in San Francisco early Saturday morning has been identified as 42-year-old Joshua Epple, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Epple, a San Francisco resident, was riding on the on-ramp to U.S. Highway 101 at 10th Street when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Epple fell over the side of the on-ramp and dropped around 30 feet. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
