Alleged Car Thieves Lead Police On Chase From San Leandro To SF

A Fairfield woman and Hayward man were arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle Sunday after officers in San Leandro spotted the car, leading to a chase into San Francisco, police said.

Police located a stolen car, reported out of Alameda, in the 1700 block of 141st Avenue in San Leandro at about 2 a.m. Sunday, according to police.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle fled.

The driver of the car, 37-year-old Marsha Primer, dropped off the passenger of the car, 43-year-old Errol Stewart, at the on-ramp to Interstate Highway 580, according to police.

Stewart was arrested by San Leandro police while Primer led police on a chase, which was taken over by the California Highway Patrol, police said.

Police said the chase went into San Francisco where it ended.

Primer was then arrested for felony evading and possessing a stolen vehicle.

Stewart was booked on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.
