A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train at Caltrain’s Redwood City station this morning, an agency spokeswoman said.

The person was struck at about 6:15 a.m. by northbound Caltrain No. 305 at the station located at 1 James Ave. in Redwood City, spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.

Trains are single-tracking at reduced speeds on the southbound tracks and are not stopping at the Redwood City station, Dunn said.

Bus shuttle service has also been set up between the San Carlos and Menlo Park stations, she said.
