Tenderloin Shooting Over Pill Sales Sends One To Hospital

A man was shot in the leg in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Wednesday night, police said.

The 34-year-old victim was with a friend near Golden Gate Avenue and Jones Street around 11:10 p.m. when a male suspect approached the pair, police said.

The suspect pulled out a gun and told the two to not sell pills on his block and then fired the gun several times, police said. The 34-year-old was hit in the leg.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and is expected to survive, police said.

The shooter fled on foot and had not been arrested as of this morning.
