Taxi Driver Takes Off After Striking Cyclist Downtown

A taxi cab struck a bicyclist in downtown San Francisco this morning, a police spokeswoman said.

The collision was reported at 10:49 a.m. near Post and Montgomery streets, San Francisco police spokeswoman Sgt. Danielle Newman said.

The taxi initially did not stop after striking the bicyclist but was tracked down a short distance away, Newman said.

She did not yet know the extent of the bicyclist’s injuries.

Is this a “file shot” of a cab, or is this a video still of the actual cab?

Take a close look; that’s sidewalk pavement, so the taxi in fact is a model car of a Yellow cab.

That’s okay, George Gascon will pat him on the head and send him home without his supper. The DA never ever prosecutes people who run over cyclists, even when the cyclist is killed.
