Man Shot In Back On Ellis Street

A man was critically injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood early this morning, police said.

The shooting was reported at 3:22 a.m. in the 700 block of Ellis Street, which is near Larkin.

The 42-year-old victim was walking when a suspect approached him from behind and shot him in the back. The victim turned around and was then shot again, according to police.

Three suspects were seen fleeing the area on foot. They had not been found as of this morning, police said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered life-threatening, according to police.
