A San Francisco Fire Department engine was involved in a non-injury collision with another vehicle this afternoon, according to a department official.

The collision occurred at Polk and Eddy streets around 2:30 p.m., according to department spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge.

The engine was not responding to a call at the time of the collision but was available for dispatch, Talmadge said.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
