
An elderly woman was fatally struck by a car in San Francisco’s Chinatown neighborhood on Thursday morning, police said today.
The victim, identified by the medical examiner’s office as 84-year-old San Francisco resident Isabel Huie, was struck at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday near Jackson and Stockton streets, according to police.
A 76-year-old woman was parking on Jackson Street facing east when her car suddenly accelerated and struck a car, a power pole, Huie and another person, police said.
Huie was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The other victim and the 76-year-old driver of the car were also hospitalized, but police did not immediately have more information about the extent of their injuries.
