Underground Vault Fire Sends Smoke And Flames From FiDi Manhole

Firefighters responded this afternoon to a report of an underground vault fire in San Francisco’s Financial District.

Crews responded at 2:23 p.m. to reports of smoke and flames coming from below a maintenance hole cover in the 500 block of Montgomery Street, fire officials said.

PG&E also responded to the scene.

No other information about the incident was immediately available.
