Pedestrian Struck And Killed By Truck On I-80 Near Seventh Street

12:22 PM: A woman struck by a truck on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in San Francisco early this morning has died, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The woman was struck at about 5:30 a.m. on the highway near Seventh Street, according to the CHP.

She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries later this morning, CHP Officer James Evans said.

The incident caused the closure of eastbound lanes of Highway 80 for about an hour, CHP officials said.

6:41 AM: All lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in San Francisco have reopened this morning after a truck struck a pedestrian on the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at about 5:30 a.m. on eastbound I-80 near Seventh Street. All lanes reopened shortly before 6:30 a.m., according to the CHP.

The pedestrian was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, the CHP said.
