Van Ness Business Robbed

A business on San Francisco’s busy Van Ness Avenue was robbed after closing for the day on Monday, police said today.

The robbery was reported at about 11:30 p.m. at a store in the first block of Van Ness, near Market Street.

Two suspects entered the store and one jumped over a counter and demanded money from an employee, police said.

The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and was not injured in the robbery, according to police.

The two suspects, believed to be men in their 30s, then fled and had not been found as of this morning, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
