A man died after being struck by a van at 16th Street and Potrero Avenue in San Francisco on Saturday night, police said today.
The pedestrian, 62-year-old Han Cheng Li, was hit by a white van at about 11:35 p.m., according to police.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with a major head injury and died several hours later, police said.
The driver of the van, a 54-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
Esparza said the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
