BART Will Run On Tuesday, As Talks Continue Past Midnight Deadline

1:33 AM: There will not be a BART strike today and negotiators will remain engaged in talks this morning, according to a federal mediator.

Shortly after 1 a.m. federal mediator George Cohen announced that BART and union representatives will continue contract negotiation talks through the morning and that BART train service will not be interrupted.

12:27 AM: BART and union officials are continuing contract negotiation talks this morning despite a 12 a.m. deadline.

Union workers and members of the media have gathered and are waiting outside the Caltrans building in Oakland for an update on whether or not a strike will be impacting this morning’s Bay Area commute.
