8:17 AM: A Sig-alert issued this morning on the Bay Bridge due to a stalled transit bus has been canceled, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The Sig-alert issued at about 6:50 a.m. was canceled at 8:10 a.m.

The bus had to be towed from the westbound center anchorage, CHP Officer Ron Simmons said.

Passengers were transferred onto an AC Transit bus, he said.

7:22 AM: A Sig-alert has been issued this morning on the Bay Bridge and rush-hour traffic is backing up due to a stalled transit bus, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The Sig-alert was issued at about 6:50 a.m.

The bus is stalled at the westbound center anchorage, CHP Officer Ron Simmons said.

Passengers were transferred onto an AC Transit bus, he said. At about 7:20 a.m., a tow truck had still not arrived to move it.
